About
Brian Hamman is a proud native of Lee County. He was born at Lee Memorial Hospital and grew up in Cape Coral. Today, he and his wife, Rebecca, are raising their two children, Kaitlyn and Jacob, here in the same community that shaped his life. Brian considers it a blessing to serve Lee County and takes that responsibility very seriously.
Brian’s life is grounded in his Christian faith and in his commitment to his family and community. Those values shape how he approaches public service and his decisions on the County Commission. He believes leaders should act with integrity, humility, and accountability, and that every vote should reflect what is best for Lee County and its future.
Brian graduated from Cape Coral High School, earned his associate degree from Florida Southwestern State College when it was Edison State College, and completed his bachelor’s degree in communications at Florida Gulf Coast University.
His career began in local television, where he worked his way from the camera crew to nightly news anchor, covering the stories and issues that shaped Southwest Florida. He later worked as a financial advisor, helping families plan for retirement and protect their savings, and then in market development at CenturyLink, where he worked alongside local economic development leaders to support job growth and private investment.
Brian also served as president and chief executive officer of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, where he worked to strengthen small businesses, support tourism, and expand opportunities for local employers and workers. He currently serves in an active role in the operation of his family’s business.
In 2013, Governor Rick Scott appointed Brian to the Lee County Commission. Since then, voters have continued to support his steady conservative leadership, fiscal responsibility, support for law enforcement and first responders, and determination to prepare Lee County for generations to come.
Brian understands that local government decisions have a lasting impact on families and neighborhoods. His focus is on preparing our community for the future by improving roads and infrastructure, addressing traffic congestion, protecting our waterways, and managing growth in ways that protect our quality of life and keep Lee County a place families are proud to call home.
Brian is grateful for the trust the people of Lee County have placed in him and remains committed to serving with integrity, honesty, and a focus on results. He is running for reelection to keep Lee County strong for the families who live here today and for the generations who will call it home in the years ahead. He is just as committed today as he was on his first day in office to earning the trust of the people he serves through principled conservative leadership, disciplined decision-making, and delivering real results for the people of Lee County.
